47 Deanette restoration,

Postby Dobromofo » Tue Nov 04, 2014 2:11 pm

I have the frame off and pulled the floor deck to discover the drivers side angle was bent downward. I believe I can straighten it, my question is should I reinforce it with some 1" tubing on the inside of the angle iron?

I like the rear bumper has a crumple zone . The flat pieces weld to the bumper.

The only problem there is that you will have to lean your shins against that bumper to reach the galley when cooking. And bark your shins on it the rest of the time ;-)

Awesome !!!! I really don't have much info to share. There is a vintage add for the trailers someone else posted on this forum. The company is supposed to still be in business.

I sure hope you are not planning to leave the back bumper sticking out that far! That's a sure shin killer, and it will be a back killer because you will have to lean over to do anything in the galley.

Maybe you can make it removable?

My $0.02 worth.

I kinda like it where it is, I have tough shins. I might redo the whole bottom of the galley so it opens left and right with a seam in the middle at some point.

For now I am going original.
