I did take a tip from Bob Henry and went to the thrift store for a walker ($4.99). Now I have a portable grill stand to take to the beach.

If I had a garage, it would be full of finds I don't need.

That's why I can't park in my darn garage now! :fb

Been a while since I reported in on the dumpster finds and bargains.

Last night I was kidnapped and left to wander while the gal pal got a quick trim. I took a walk down the alley and tripped over about 110 feet of 12-2 with ground that had been gutted from a room partition in a big commercial building and tossed into the dumpster. Well since I am wiring the tractor barn for the caboose tiny house to plug into I decided it was a good find and loaded it into the truck.

Several weeks ago I saw a swing set "A" frame in a pile of scrap steel. I stopped and offered the fellow $5.00 for it and he even help me load it. Well it gets better!

Yesterday I was driving across town and there was a big pile of absolutely free junk in a front yard. In that pile was a porch swing with all the chains and ready to hang. I now have a nice swing and frame in the yard of the caboose house. I coupled my 5 dollar swing set find with it and repaired the leg stabilizers and her it is just in time for winter :snowstorm:

Picked up a sack at a garage sale today with cameras and cables in it. I asked how much the cameras were, he said $5 for the whole bag. After cleaning them up a bit, I now have 8 functioning cameras.
1 Panasonic Lumix 10mp
2 Kodak 10.3mp Easy Share
2 Kodak 12mp Easy Share
3 Canon 16mp PowerShot A2300

Not bad. Now I need to find some folks who would appreciate a camera!

It is (or was) an adult beverage dispenser.

Well to breath a little life into this old thread...... I was yard saleing this weekend and at one stop at the curb was a yard glider. The folks asked me if I would like it before the trash man picked it up. You all know me ..... I replaced 2 boards and used a remaining 1/2 a can of spray paint and I have a good looking free yard glider. I celebrated yesterday by setting, swinging, and enjoying a cold beer.

I went to Goodwill the other day, and they had a Thule Sidekick Rooftop carrier for $19. I asked one of the guys if the keys were in the bag with the mounting kit (as I was putting it in the basket) or if they had them in the back. He had to check. He came back a minute later with the information that it was only $19 because they had no keys. A quick call to Thule USA, and 2 days later I had 2 key for $35. It was $35 because I paid a lot extra for shipping, as we are leaving tomorrow. It is on the roof and being loaded for our 18 day adventure! By far one of my best finds to date!

This is a Sidekick mounted on something other than my Durango
