Postby ywhic » Wed Nov 11, 2015 7:40 am

Has anyone put an inlet on the side of there gray/blackwater holding tank?? I have an 8" be tank and want to use it for gray as well. I'm thinking a 1 1/2" mounted high on side.

I have used Uniseal products for fitting pipes to tanks when you can not access the inside and use a conventional threaded bulkhead fitting. There are a number of other sources for the same thing, including Amazon

I have rubber grommets I bought for the tank in 3,2, & 1.5" for gray /black water tanks.

I just wanted pics and opinions on going thru the side near the top of gray or blackwater tank.

I am sure I can't be the 1st..

Sorry, I didn't take the time to explain I have used those to go into the end/side of the grey water tank under the floor of our CT. Among many other tanks I have used the Uniseal on. All work and have never leaked, even the ones that are subjected to moderate pressure or suction.

Oh.. I got you.. Yes the grommets I ordered are very similar to the Uniseal ones.. these go in the tank wall as well with a beveled edge to the rubber as it goes in.. you get like 1 1/2" of the pipe actually into the tank..

No issues.. makes me happy.. my tank is 8" in height and I'd rather just buy the one for $192 (15 gallon) and then do a 3" on top for the toilet and the 1 1/2" on the side top edge for the sink/shower..

I will be sure to have some type of p-traps to keep the 'stink' from creeping up into the shower/sink..

Google Hepvo for a "trap"that can be very usefulin limited space. There's also a thread on here with a mention of it.
