Dave, it's shaping up nicely. Lots of work with the rivets I know, but progress is being made. Make haste carefully!

You're doing a great job and it really shows in the crisp clean lines that you are keeping in the skins! The shape looks really good and it looks like all of the skins are touching w/o buckles or gaps. First rate work there.

I saw a post on another forum that showed your inspiration at the California Automobile Museum: http://www.calautomuseum.org/camping-in-style/

Hi Dave
Once again I had not checked in on your build for a while.
It is the most amazing build currently underway in the build journal section.......and definitely the "MOST" amount of work.
You have made such steady progress! :applause:
And.....you definitely titled your Thread correctly. Most people reading this would think you are crazy!
I think you are very creative, determined, and talented!
Your project sure makes me think that building trailers out of car body parts is Soooooo! much easier.
Once again you have inspired me to head back out to my shop and give Kermit a little attention.
Keep up the GREAT Work!
Hope to see it in person next year??
Oh, and what are you doing for wheels?
And, how did you make out with tail lights (check out the ones on the Rockettear! Built by Doug Hodder.
And don't forget to always think "Outside" of the box.....metal wine glasses, funky light fixtures, air regulator covers or reservoirs, etc, etc,........could all make cool tail light buckets. And there are a ton of great "Glass" lenses c/w stainless ring in various diameters. I use a couple different sizes on Miss Piggy.

It's been raining so much around here I expect Dave has had to put things on hold for a bit. Although, the sun just came out a few minutes ago...

hey all----thanks for the kind words and continued interest ;)

gregm is correct--- project is on hold for a while. the riveting is not a one person job, and the weather is most un-agreeable. the other day i came driving down the hill in front of my house, to see the wind in the process of ripping the panel-work off and tossing it under the neighbour's car ! i was lucky---she has a soft top and another car in the shared driveway space, and neither panel did any harm. so for now the slightly damaged siding is in the house and i am working on storing the trailer for the winter months

cheers all !!

Well that's unfortunate, but don't let it discourage you. You are doing such a great job I bet you are just itching to get back to work as soon as the weather comes back around!

Wow! What an awesome build!
It's inspiring to know what a person's creativity can accomplice, plus being so well
crafted.
Is it completed now? I would truly love to see more photos, and the build procedure
from your last post (last November).
