Thanks everyone for such nice comments, and for all the good advice and kind comments over the past 3 years. I mean it with all my heart when I say that without this forum, and all of you, this project would have never gotten done. And I value the friendships that have been formed, many that have made the transition from the internet to the campfire. It's been an awesome experience.

I was inspired by your build journal!
It took me over 2 days to devour the details in your journal!
I am in Timonium, not far from the Fair Grounds and am part way through my build.
It would be great to see your TD sometime in the near future.

I have a couple of questions about supply locations.
Where did you get 1/8th inch ply?
Also, where can I get the West Epoxy system locally?
I am not experienced at all with fiberglass, but would love to learn more about it. As a painting contractor, I am pretty comfortable with special coating systems and would love to give this a try.

I'm in your area as well, I ordered my West 105 and all other epoxy supplies from Jamestown Distributors. The local places just couldn't compete on price.

Often it's easiest to to buy direct from the manufacturer. www.westsystem.com

I used, and am pleased with, epoxy and fiberglass cloth from www.raka.com

www.uscomposites.com is another supplier you may consider using.

I am close to 5 lumber yards and nobody carries 1/8" ply. Except on special order. And it is expensive. I might assume that some of the lumber yards near Annapolis would have it, being boat building territory.

Did you try Chesapeake Plywood? They have a hefty $250 minimum order for pick up and $500 for delivery, but they have just about everything.

Makes me glad I'm where I'm at. I live three hours from the nearest Home Depot. Salmon, Idaho. A two-stop-light, one-lumber-yard town. I can have as many sheets of 1/8" Baltic birch here next week for $14 a sheet. (5x5')

The lumber yard manager here wants to please his customers. You'd think in a bigger city with competition, somebody would recognize the value of customer service.

Ken....I want to apologize that I did not see your post so that I could answer your questions sooner. I have not been on the forum much this winter and it does not seem that I am getting notifications anymore for some reason. I need to check into that.

I got my 1/8" Baltic Birch at Exotic Lumber on Whitehall Road in Annapolis. They have the Baltic Birch in all thicknesses, 5'x5' sheets, and I did not find their prices to be too bad. I also got the marine grade Okoume ply that I used for my sidewalls there. I am not sure it was necessary since I was glassing it anyway, but I don't regret it.

I used Raka epoxy which I ordered direct from them. Great prices and I was pleased with it. I used the non-blush formula which saves you a lot of cleanup. I got my cloth from them also and found the quality and the prices to be very good.

I work in Cockeysville and would love to meet you sometime. You are welcome to see my trailer anytime if this lousy weather ever breaks.

You really should head over to http://www.Tearjerkers.net and check out the Chesapeake Chapter. There is a thread there with all the gatherings listed for this year. You would be welcome at any of them. If you're trailer isn't done, bring a tent. By the end of the first weekend you will feel like you have known everyone all your life. What an awesome group of people.
