Harbor freight trailer missing part help

Postby Dschroeder83 » Thu Apr 14, 2016 9:43 am

Probably a really big long shot...finally starting on my TD after buying the trailer kit 16 months ago. Was assembling it and the coupler mount (triangle plate with square tube that the coupler sits on) was missing. Called HF this am...they don't have it in stock and it will have to be shipped from China. Estimated arrival 8-12 weeks! Thought by chance someone might have one laying around.

They don't have the part in stock, or they don't have the same trailer in stock? If they have the trailer, get them to open the box and give you the part.

Sixteen months after the purchase that seems like an unreasonable request.

Have a welding shop make a suitable piece if you can not find one or can not make one and can not wait.

I have one setting around(I think?). It is your's for the cost of shipping. I replace it for a center jack coupler.

three pieces of pipe is used as spacers to move the jack up. and more bolt where used.

Why? Just pay for it like you would for the one they would have ordered.

Because that ties up the entire trailer they robbed the part from until months go by and the replacement comes in. I think they can fairly take the view that after 16 months the part could just have been lost by the purchaser. If it was a shorter time before the piece was found to be missing that would be different, IMO. Just expressing an opinion.

Cleaning a garage is a sin, you know where you go if you do that.. Besides you will not be able to find anything for the next year or so, maybe longer...
