Custom 6'x14', 6 1/2' height, 60” tongue, electric brakes, w/out a rear door LARK trailer.
Total cost:$2850.00
Factory weight including spare tire: 1580 lb.
Tongue weight 220 lb.

I highly recommend the 60” Tongue over the standard one. It will be the best $ you'll spend on the trailer.

Removed 3/8” panel and trim = 240 LBS (Replaced with .196” Luan 70 lb). 170 lb difference.

Object:
Happy Wife = Happy Trailer.
KISS is a way of life.
Small footprint go-any-where trailer.
Minimum weight to be pulled by an older truck or SUV (1996- 2004).
Clean Bed and Bathroom (tired of expensive filthy hotels and unsanitary public bathrooms).
Eating our own food (tired of of salt as a main ingredient, served by unhygienic idiots using gloves to keep their hands clean not the food).
Little bit of camping.
A trailer that can be maintained and fixed by us.
KISS is a way of life.
Happy Wife = Happy Trailer.

Used 1/2" insulation strips to create a gap between the 3/4" insulation and the outer skin.

Placed plywood wherever there will be a cut through the skin or attachment of any kind.

I love the ideas of both the longer tongue (batteries, propane, etc), and no rear door. I never open my rear door any more except to clean out all the dust and dirt that comes in through the cracks. I did use it to load my bed in there once, and a couple times to haul come cargo, but I next-to-never do that any more. Next time . . .
Keep us posted. Lots of pictures! K.I.S.S. for sure.

Very nice, tongue is well worth upgrade... pretty cool idea without back door. Could you hav gotten another entrance door on the rear for secnd exit? Back entrance door would open up interior set up well i would think

You can get a door any where you choose. We had ours set back a bout 40" from the front, that allowed the bathroom and counter-top be in the front.
'Iconfabul8' had his built in a similar way. viewtopic.php?f=42&t=66362

Hader... nice job on the insulation. Very clean looking. I like your floorplan.

You have a lot of area to work with on that tongue for LP bottles and generator (if you plan to use one). That is rthe nice feature having a flat nose..
