Shore Power - passenger or driver side

Postby sxjames » Sat Nov 26, 2016 10:38 pm

So, quick question. Which side of the teardrop is the shore power connector mounted on - the passenger side, or driver side? I'm assuming that most RV and public camp sites have the electrical pole on one side of the camping space, and I would like to not have to carry an extra long extension around with me.

Thanks,
Stephen

In my experience most campsites are set up to back the trailer in, with the rv door on the passenger side and the electrical hookup on the driver's side.

Most - 90% of the time - but not always. See below:

It's the only time I've had to use the full length of my (generally too long) shore power cord.

This has been my experience, too. Apparently not to the people who camped at the next site last summer and pitched their tent practically under our awning, would it have been extended. Duh -- door there dimwit.
