Beautiful knives! Note to self....If I run into anyone at a gathering that introduces himself as "Noseoil", do not try to upset him....

My impression is that one does not need to worry; that he is a gentle man.

Instead of making knives I play with them. Here are two of my hand carved pieces. Also the cabinet faces in my teardrop are cherry with hand carved designs on them.

Thanks for the kind comments about my blades (not exactly sure about being a gentleman, but thanks). Really like the whittling & detail work. It's a labor of love, to be sure.

Nice looking sander & knives  .
I like it better than what Woodsmith has plans for but if you don't work in metal it's a good alternative.

Danny, nice grinder for sharpening & a very clean design. Nice & compact as well.

Mine has an extra 1" of belt width & a bit more horsepower, but it's a too much for regular sharpening (a bit aggressive). I got by with a Craftsman 7" bench grinder the whole time I was doing woodwork. It's only more recently that I've been doing blades, so a bigger model was more efficient & I've always liked design & making things anyway.

Tony, glad you're doing more writing, but there's always something to do, isn't there? How's the house plan coming?

I haven't been on the forum most of the winter since I've been busy making us new living room furniture to match the dining table I made in November.
Image
This is our new coffee table made of Canary Wood, Figured Western Maple, American Walnut & Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry).
I also made two end tables and a corner sofa table in the same design and woods.

Image
This cabinet was made to cover up my guitar amp that my wife objected to it's visibility in the living room.
The Canary Wood doors are opened & closed with a push on the door, same action with the two Maple front Jatoba drawers in the apron.

Image
This is our new TV cabinet that hides all the components and wires.
It's notched at the base to go over the wall base molding and notched at the rear of the top for the wires to the TV.

Image
Corner table.

Image
End tables, the two small drawers on the bench go into the aprons.
Now I'm waiting for good weather to go teardropping.

Thanks Pete & Sharon.
Here's a photo of how the guitar amp is easy to access.
Image
Each end of the 2 cabinets has doors with 3" deep adjustable shelves for magazines or whatever.
