Bob I have to ask. Do the local thrift shops have you on auto dial when something good comes in???

We need this thread renamed to Bob's finds.

Wish I could find all the goodies you do. :NC

It has become a bad joke among my friends. They now place orders !

I was setting at a little café this Sunday morning with my gal pal and the waitress was bemoaning the fact she needed a push mower. I had just lost a good buddy and the family called me to see what I might want of the leavings. It just so happened no one wanted the mower so I took it. I have been wanting the little night light charger port outlets but at about 20 bucks a piece I just couldn't justify the cost. Well it so happens the waitress needing the mower has an "in" with a union electrician that just happens to have a bunch of job leftovers and in them are the outlets. I am trading the mower for 3 of them. God loves me !

Been meaning to share these for a while, just forgot about it. I found a Sears Coleman Lantern and a Coleman Stove at the landfill, laying next to the scrap metal pile. Somebody wanted rid of them but didn't have the heart to chuck them in the pile and break them I guess. They're not in the best shape, but may be salvageable.

Man oh man gotta knock the dust off of this old thread.

Was driving into work this morning and what to my wandering eye should appear , no not a miniature sleigh or a reindeer but a lazy boy recliner :D

Santa must have brought a new one because waiting at the curb for the trash man was a light beige vinyl recliner.

The Flea market fliver doesn't have a passenger seat so guess what I am thinking.

Might as well be comfortable between flea market customers.

Bob,

Are you selling regularly/full time at the flea market?

Lafayette Indiana has a "First Sunday" the first sunday of each month at their fairgrounds. In the winter it shrinks down and goes inside but in the summer it is damn good size with 80 - 120 venders and waves and waves of onlookers. I have been one of the onlookers but will be changing roles very soon. I am right now building handy little step stools and beer and wine lamps as well as (don't tell anybody) burlap flowers  I am looking into carved candles as well if I can buy the equipment right. Getting in place for full retirement I went to 3 days a week in July. I am really getting used to 4 day weekends every weekend. :D

Great job, Bob! My favorite is the first one (since it's mine), an the Mississippi Mud lamps are my next favorite. Can't wait to see the flowers up close.

My son found a metric tap and die set at an estate sale - $2. Complete. Not stellar quality - but that stuff made in the 1950s was usually OK. Now I know I'll stick with metric modifying the Ironton Trailer.

Well it has been a crazy two weeks... Found a 10 foot aluminum satellite dish last October but no one was around so I left a note well I passed by about every couple weeks off and on and finally decided they must be snow birds. Well April arrived and so did the snowbirds. I knocked and asked and was given the dish. The older fella said he had given it away 3 times before but there it sat. So I went home and got the 6x10 trailer and carted it home it will become the roof to an 8 foot octagon chicken house for the land lady. I answered a craigs list ad and got another 8x20 camper frame. It was $100.00 but the owner tossed in two real nice take off tires he had since all the tires were shot. This trailer will become the rolling train station "Platform" ( party deck ) I am going to use the other flat bed as the DEPOT trailer so the glider trailer is going away. Oh it gets even crazier this Monday I picked up a 10 x 10 x 6 dog kennel for the land lady's 2 new scottie puppies. It was lying in the back corner of the lot at a home and appeared damaged a bit. Again I knocked and we negotiated a bit to $50.00 and again the 6x10 trailer had another prize to tote home. Oh we can't forget the baby crib that was tossed out. I reconfigured it to make an indoors doggy play pen for her two little monsters.

I pinned it with some dowels so it could be knocked down and stored flat if necessary. ( guess I need to find my saw and trim them off a bit huh ! )
