Last week I finally got the chance to really test out the solar/battery setup on my trailer. I have 3 100 watt panels, a cheapo PWM charge controller, and a 225 ah battery. I used this to power a mini fridge/freezer (~60 watts, 120v, ran when it wanted to), small crock pot (45 watts, 120v, ran for ~8 hours on two different days), TV (~40 watts, 120v, used 1-2 hours a day), and various fans, lights, and chargers. Over the course of 6 days, the lowest battery voltage I ever observed was 12.4, and that was with the fridge running so I'm sure the resting voltage would have been even higher. By the end of day 5, I was sitting at about 12.8-12.9 right before I went to bed, so it's capable of fully recharging during the day. The 120 volt appliances all ran just fine off of a cheapie 750 watt modified sine wave inverter.
