Post looks suspiciously like a test posting for prelude to SPAM...

Interesting. There may actually be a question hidden in there. A 2N3055 is an old school power transistor which could certainly be used to charge a battery. Some of the numbers given do kinda sorta belong. There's no schematic though, as mentioned. Do spammers post stuff like this?

My guess is that the link leads to a virus/malware download

My first thought was it is spam. If it is not spam I apologize to the poster. The website referenced is a Chinese site that links people who want electronic components to people to make or sell them. So yeah, I'm pretty sure it is spamwith the idea to get that company url indexed by a search engine robot.

Or just a bright non-native speaker posting her question in the wrong forum. Homework? 8-)

Why don't we ask the OP to clarify the post. I suspected something when I saw this was only the OP's second post.

I think John61CT nailed it. A legitimate question to the wrong forum. I made a car battery charger at least 20 years ago that uses a 2N3055 transistor to carry the load. As for the question asked. . . . byx21-40 doesn't look like a component part number.

:applause: I guess it was spam and the admins left the remnants for us to entertain ourselves.
