Seems like every time I look up HF trailers on there sight it gets harder to find. Just looked now and can't find any trailers. Anyone else seen them?

Harbor Freight Trailers Unavailable for Sale as of 9/29/2017

I called a store. They said it is a bad tire problem that they need to sort out. For safety they stop selling for now.

Hi All,

I am new here and so excited to build one of these and all the great information everyone has provided. Haven a design down to match my limited abilities.

The trailer was on there two weeks ago and then just disappeared. It was in our flier and the store still had them when I looked this week. Went to go on line to see the actual weight of the trailer and would not come up. Weird. Hope they don't stop selling these. Told a friend what I was going to do and he suggested not using these cause they are Chinese steal and bolts. But all these research seems that most love em. The price is right for me. want to do a 5x10 on a super duty. Was told just make sure you pack the bearings. Lot to learn but loving it. Been also trying to see who has put the most miles on em and how they held up.

So if they stop selling them any solutions?

Thanks for listening!

Northern Tools has a 5x8. They are a little more money. Nice trailer. Unless you have a store near you watch for them when they offer free freight.

I was very happy with my Northern Tool Ironton 5x8'. Easy construction, plenary of upgrades and replacement parts at normal stores.
Some day I will figure out something to put here. But for now....

I would like to strongly recommend changing the subject line of the original post to this thread to read something like, "Harbor Freight Trailers Unavailable for Sale as of 9/29/2017". It's not possible to search for "HF Trailers" because the PHPbb software with which this forum is implemented doesn't support search terms shorter than five characters, or that occur more than some specific percentage of posts. "HF" is less than five characters, and almost every post on this forum contains the word "trailer" in it, for some unfathomable reason! :FNP

Re: HF Trailers tire recall caused suspension of trailer sal

Postby Esteban » Sun Oct 01, 2017 11:11 am

Today I called the San Luis Obispo, CA Harbor Freight store and talked to a manager. He said HF trailer sales are (temporarily?) suspended because the Department of Transportation recalled their trailer tires.

The reason I posted it the way I did was I did not know they had been suspended. I could not find them on there web sight at the time and my local store had no info on them. Thought I might have missed something.
