Atwood Hitch lock

Postby Cosmo » Sat Oct 21, 2017 7:49 am

Found this trailer hitch lock on my last camping trip. Looks pretty robust. Owner was Canadian and said his insurance company gives him a discount when he uses this lock, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb4LCxtz7dU

i think i posted this on this site before butt it may help to do it again

MASTER LOCK makes most all of their products so you can get them KEYED ALIKE

i buy them by the box(knot cheap butt it is really convenient to have several around)

once you have several locks that only knead one key to open you will kick youseff for knot doing it sooner

for my RV's, boat, utility & cargo trailers i use a medium length lock that goes thru the hole in the hitch lever

worst case scenario will be if you have to waller the hole out a smidge w/ a drill(about 30 seconds worth)

on the receiver hitch pin MASTER's smaller lock w/ a longer bale works well

barn/garage doors, gates, hitches....... ALL ONE KEY

like i said above it is a bit costly going in butt in the long run most of your personal property security issues are solved quite inexpensively

Just remember, before buying a lock - check youtube.

Pretty scary how fast this guy defeats the lock.

No lock is perfect, but I just think it might be wise to add another layer of security.
