85 mAmp LED application?

Postby Dee Bee » Sun Oct 31, 2004 7:53 am

One way to conserve 12 v battery power is to use low amp LED's, instead of typical 12 RV or automotive bulbs. I found this one that can be easily adapted to most applications.

I think I will get one. It only draws 85 m Amps if the specs are right! Compare that to the typical 12 v automotive dome light.

Is anyone else using LED applications in the tear system?

Let me know if you try it. How do you plan on using it in your tiny trailer.

Dee Bee,

If you do order the 24 LED unit from the SuperBrite site I would like to know how you like them. I would like to use the LEDs to conserve power.

I purchased 4" LED dome lights, they only have 6 LEDs and do not produce enough light. And the light they do produce is blueish. Possibly the super white LEDs give off a better light.

Maybe I can recycle them into a sconce or something. I posted pictures on my picture page on this site. Click on the thumbnail images to get a better view.

Here's what I got and how they look - the MR16 and the LEDStrip. The light is fairly blue, but I've used them before and I'm used to it. It's enough light for me but its not anywhere near what a fluorescent light would put out.
