Trailer Manufacturers Warranty

Postby BobMarieLitt » Sun Nov 05, 2017 6:08 pm

When are new trailer manufacturers going to realize that one year warranty is NO LONGER sufficient for the prices customers have to pay for their products? I am referring to both full size and teardrop trailers!
Automotive companies charge in the neighbourhood of prices charged for some new Trailers and now, Teardrop Trailers. If a customer is going to pay $20,000. Plus for a unit, they should have a three year warranty on products just as in automotive fields. At least two years would be nice!
If they want the big prices for products, then back them up with a manufacturers warranty more than one year! I don’t mind paying a good price for a good product but sufficient warranty would be nice to back up the quality production!

But as long as folks buy them, where is the incentive for them to change their policies?

Which teardrop company has a one-year warranty?

Here's Camp-Inn's:
SUMMARY OF WARRANTY:
Petenwell Ind. LLC (Camp-Inn) warrants every towable recreation vehicle to the first retail consumer for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase under normal use and service, when used for its intended purpose of recreational travel and camping, that all parts manufactured by Camp-Inn, and for three (3) years on its structural integrity, are free from substantial defects in material and workmanship. This warranty begins on the date the first retail consumer purchaser takes delivery. This warranty may be transferred only once during the warranty period, with a proper application and a $100 processing fee. Contact Petenwell Ind. LLC for details.

STRUCTURAL WARRANTY:
Camp-Inn warrants the structural integrity of the interior and exterior sidewalls, floor, roof, and frame against substantial material and manufacturing defects.

And Cozy Cruzer's:
We stand behind every trailer & each teardrop comes with a 2 year warranty.

But a factory that is stapling OSB to particle board, how could they last longer than a year?

Yes, since 99% have lousy build quality, obviously lacking QA oversight, real guarantees would put them out of business.
