hanging a wood sign

Postby pilot325cm » Thu Nov 23, 2017 3:08 pm

I am trying to have this wooden sign on the side of my teardrop. Any ideas that dont involve drilling through the side of the trailer?

+1 on VHB tape.
The tape is awesome stuff
While it stick like crazy it can be removed without residue if need be (sort of like command hooks).
I am giving thanks for that tape today

Don't know what you have for a sign, but we have a custom made wood sign with our names on it. We mount it on an old music stand that is modified. We have two other signs, one with information about our teardrop, the other with info on our Uhaul camper. We hang those below the wood sign, of course depending on which trailer we have with us at the time. We use tent stakes to anchor the music stand. The teardrop has a sign with it's name inlaid that is screwed on the side, but it was made to cover a hole a previous owner made, so no issue with screw holes.

I use simple suction cup hooks for a sign I remove before traveling. My sign is tin and not very heavy.

...using two screw eyes connect the sign to ropes , throw the ropes over the top of the TD and put a board or little sandbags on the other side to balance the weight of the sign …

No holes , screws , fasteners … quick setup and takedown …

It wouldn't attach to your TD, but, if the sign isn't too big and heavy, you can use a garden flag holder. There is one available from Kohls that is collapsible and comes with an extension for more height if you desire. A couple eye hooks on the sign and a couple "S" hooks over the holder crossbar will hang it. https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-25741 ... TwodwmQChQ
