I like both the toy hauler and tow vehicle.

Same here +1. I've been looking for a similar TV for a long time...and I've never seen a trailer quite like that, very unique!

The Liberty is a really good off roader but its just an ok tow vehicle. Gets pretty bad gas millage when towing. On really long trips I have a 06 BMW X5 with a V8.

dcg -

I tow with a 2012 Liberty. 3.7 w/auto. Actually have two, one 2WD the other 4WD, but the mileage figures are the same. With my 4 x 8 x 4 square back w/ radiused front weighing about 1200# loaded w/ my TW-200 inside, kayak on top, and all camping gear get about 14 mpg. Without the trailer about 21 highway, 19 mixed city/highway.

What does your trailer weigh dry?

What engine / trans in your Liberty? What mileage do you generally get with and without the trailer and RTT?

I just got a new best friend. :D

My brother just got a 501 that he is liking a lot.

I have a 990 and a Husaberg 390 that hate me for not riding them. I'll get out more once the teardrop is done.

Who makes that trailer? Is it commercial or home built?

I sell a lot of 500's and 501's. 450's have been slow so I'm motivated...lol. I was a Berg dealer also. There is a group of us going to Park City for the KTM Adventure Rally next month. I have a 990 in the shop right now for some tires and new chain and sprockets that's going.

Mine is an 03 with the 3.7 and auto. I think the 02's had better trannys with thru 5 speeds. Mine also has a 3 inch lift with lockers front and rear with 4.10 gears. Also the tires are much larger than stock. It gets 17 at best unloaded and 10-12 with the trailer.
