I had a 2004 Durango 4x4. Nice vehicles, but even with 4x4 I would not take it on most of these trails. Heavy bodies, engine has no torque down low, no 2 speed transfer case, makes these vehicles mostly highway cruisers, which they do nicely I might add.
I have currently a 2000 Durango which does quite well for most of these trails. The only thing it has problems with is still no low end engine torque and limited front suspension travel. Rear wheel travel however is quite impressive and does make up some for the limited front. It also has the larger rear axle with a factory locker, factory big wheel option and of course a two speed transfer case which makes it much better suited for off road use.

I have been so busy that I have hardly any time to post up videos. Just realized that I am way behind here. Hope this is some good entertainment for you folks. Four videos for your pleasure in a row. See you on the trails, George.
Watson! The Back Way
In this video series SW Idaho Overlanding is heading back into Oregon in a attempt to reach the remote old farming community of Watson. Not much is left of this forgotten community, but the drive in could be a fun adventure. We have driven in the front way before so now it is time to take the longer, not so well traveled back way in. Ride along with us as we drive, at times, a fairly primitive road that meanders through the back country of Oregon. We'll see some cool sights and tackle a variety of different road types.

Gorge-us!
SW Idaho Overlanding's second attempt at reaching a gorge in SE Oregon. With a mechanical failure the first time will they make it this time? Ride along and see as they find interesting roads on their way to their destination.
