I’ve been seriously considering the 22” model. I like the fact that unlike the 17” model the 22” has the grease drain at the center and rear of the cook surface. I also like that it has the two burners giving you the option for a cooler side. Yes I have cooked on larger Blackstone grills and they are nice.

Currently I have the 3 burner camp chef. I like it but it’s a bit bulky to pack all the time. Also the grease drain is not ideal. I do use it for large cooks and have feed 80-100 people ! The flat top of the camp chef is similar in size.

I was hoping to find a stellar deal today but the cheapest I’ve seen the 22” so far is $99, which makes it very tempting!

Home Depot has the 17" for $60 online right now so I ordered one over the weekend. Should be here first part of next week. A friend we were camping with a couple of weeks ago cooked a couple of terrific meals on his. He loves it. His is the 22", but I figured the 17" will work for us since there are only two of us. If I decide we need the 22", then I'll put the 17" in the outdoor kitchen here at the house or throw it on Craigslist. I expect I'll keep it.

so when I think propane grill, I think more like a Weber Q, those look more like a griddle or I guess restaurant grill.

Not my personal choice, I worked a grill at a restaurant through my teen years and may die a happy man if I never have to do that again

That said I love my Weber Q 1200, its a wonder

I need to quit clicking on Slows threads! I want one of these now. I would put it on my Christmas list but I think it is longer now than when I was a kid.

So just an update. I did buy the 22" BS grill. It was on sale at HD for $79. The box was damaged so they dropped the price down to $49. So far, I really like the unit. It will make a great addition to my camp cooking appliance collection. I really didn't need it, but I couldn't pass it up on the price. It is nice have the two burners (17" only has one) as you can really crank the heat up on one side and use the other side as a warmer holder area when cooking larger meals. Size and weight are good. once seasoned the top is slick and non-stick. Works great. Can make breakfast to dinner on it.

wondered into Wal-Mart's BBQ section the other day and see they are even selling the 'Blackstone" brand of stoves now, also.
