Thinking About It

Postby Dahlia47 » Sat Dec 07, 2019 12:22 pm

I was thinking about getting a little propane water heater. Only thinking about it. Maybe down the road a few years. I would much rather have a solar water heater. I always hear about how hard it is to lift the big bag high enough. So with my mind yet wandering again, what do you all think about the little propane water heaters? Pros, cons, preferred models, dangers?

Not to change the subject, but we don't have to lift this solar shower.

It's a steel 2- 1/2 gallon weed sprayer repainted and replumbed with a 5' hose and garden nozzle.

Works well.

This would work with a 5 gal bucket and takes up little room...nearly no set-up time needed. There are others, too.

https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable ... 297&sr=8-2

If you don't carry a bucket, there are fold-up ones that you can get. Again, takes very little room.

The portable shower is my next purchase. ;)

I am so lucky we didn't have the pump sprayer when we were kids! There is no way my brothers would have put water in that thing! Ya...don't let kids get a hold of those!! LOL

Did you change the drop tube in the tank to a bigger size? I’ve looked at a few tanks and the tube is only 1/8” or so.

No. Here's the one I bought:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004SWKA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think I bought it when it hit about $35.

https://camelcamelcamel.com/Hudson-62063-Bugwiser-Sprayer-Galvanized/product/B00004SWKA

It's one of those items on Amazon that the price fluctuates considerably.

$48.14 as of today..............on Amazon... which, when I think about it, is in the same $$$ neighborhood as to what a 'plastic' one of this size is going for........

I think the steel would be studier and last much longer than the plastic.

Thanks

Amazon plays games with pricing, if you look at something 4-5 times without buying they may up the price. If you buy something and come back to buy another they may raise the price. Sometimes by a lot. My brother bought a light to see if he liked it and went to buy 6 more and the price was up $10 each, he paid under $10 for the first one. I've had where I had something in my cart for few weeks and took it out then got a notice the price dropped. I would be surprised if that Alexia thing would hear me say to my wife "I'm going to order some router bits today" and then Amazon puts on another 10-20%.

have seen the same thing with Amazon - just recently bought 3 t-shirts for $14 each, only to find them at $20 each the very next day. (was glad I had bought the 3) And to think, now they are now including 'Alexia' when buying new vehicles ............. probably eventually Alexia will be 'driving' the car when self-driving ones become the norm.........

Amazon plays games with pricing...

You can look at the price fluctuations on https://camelcamelcamel.com/ and set up an alert for the price you are waiting for.

Good for you! My wife’s best friend gave us ours and after she visits in a week out it goes.
