Sticking to the topic...

The topic of this section is 'Electrical Secrets' and yet no-one is actually passing on any of the secrets. Shame on you all!

So I'll start the ball rolling:

Secret #1 - What is Electricity?

Electricity is not electrons flowing - that's just a cover story put out by electrical engineers to keep themselves in a job. No, electricity is actually compressed smoke - so now you understand how come, whenever you get some wiring wrong, smoke comes out....

I think they flow in the other direction if you are below the equator.

I'm not telling you guys any more of the secrets - even after I told you about the compressed smoke, you're still going on about that electron flow nonsense.....

Andrew

PS I'm not even gonna tell you about how, in gas engines, the piston squeezes the smoke out of the burning gas and pushes it up the spark plug and that's how it gets into the wires.

Doh! :jocolor:

I'm not!! It really explains a lot!

That explains my truck's electrical system (and probably how those new hybrid cars work) but who compresses the smoke that goes into my house?

Awaiting enlightenment...

I also heard that electricity was the smoke in the wires and once that smoke came out you had to buy new wire cause can't put the smoke back in.

'S obvious, innit? The smoke gets put in at the power generating station. These places are shockingly inefficient (I vote Green, me) and they can't even get all the smoke they make into the wires and they just let the surplus go up the chimney*, causing pollution.

And this shows that people that use fuses are just hippy tree-huggers who want to stop circuits from emitting smoke when they are overloaded.

Andrew (the school teacher you never had...)

* Is that a stack, not a chimney, in the US?

I don't know, but it's starting to sound like someone might be smoking something a little to much as well

Oh, no, that's just what they want you to think... :silly:

Ever since I've been wearing the tin-foil lining inside my hats, so they can't control my thoughts, I can see all these things clearly....
