Which this year is just west of Seattle.
Hi, All. Jim here just getting started on planning a removable "x"-drop (maybe tear, maybe square, maybe something in the middle), but definitely light-weight (1500# towing limit 150# max tongue weight), comfy, and cool. Joined the forum to poach ideas, learn where I'm going to make some mistakes (in addition to the places I'll maker mistakes where nobody else has), and see how it all goes. I'm starting with a 5'x8' big-box utility trailer (yes, I at least know I'm going to have to put proper highway tires on it) that's rated at 2000#. Right now I'm leaning toward building it like a racing sailboat with foam-core fiberglassed panels. We'll see how that goes, but it is something I've got some experience with having redone a 45' sailboat in a past life. Here we go!
