Yup, a really scenic drive across that road, but don't get in too big of a hurry.
We usually take 66 to Kane and catch 6 there out to the Grand Canyon. Usually this coming weekend. Don't know if we'll make it this year.

mincey... I had a big white sheppard that used to love to pull me on a bicycle or skateboard for hours. I'd have to stop her or she'd run till her paws got bloody. She could run about 20 mph... amazing fun. She lived to just past 20 years; pretty old for a big dog. Never got the hip problem either. I'm sure I'll never have another dog as great as that one.

www.radio-locator.com

Here's a link to find radio stations that are away from your home area when camping. Type in the city/town you'll be near and it'll give you all the AM and FM stations around you. I like it alot.

Shelters Versatile Grip-clips

Postby sdtripper2 » Wed Nov 01, 2006 11:37 pm

Tarpologists stop proceed with Image

I found this site while looking for an easy way to make an easy uP Yurt.
Ira, on another thread was showing interest in making a Yurt. I found
many hard to make and permanent Yurts, that were very expensive.
Then I came across this Shelter System.
You will note it is made of PVC
and Grip-Clips on tarp or other coverings. It has been used in many
situations from disaster relief to Burning man.

The key to this construction is simplicity and the use of these Grip-Clips.
Tarpologists will find these Grip-Clips interesting as they can attach tarps
to anything. A person could build their own Yurt with PVC or buy something
already designed. You have a lot of versatility.

I have a little experience with making PVC structures (photo stands, reflector stands, etc) and have been thinking on starting to design some covers for the galley and side doors. I like those yurt designs for stability...have to look into that.
I really like that clip, being able to screw them into pipe. there are some types that look like these at Home depot, but have to look into them again. I did learn a way to cut pvc to use as clips that work well on edges.

I have found that DPreview.com is much better than those other two mentioned for camera info. Very indepth reviews on LOTS of cameras, and the link above has a features guide and gives you sid by side comparisons of cameras with the options you select.
