Party lights

Postby prohandyman » Sun Feb 18, 2007 5:40 pm

Alright, I searched and didn't find any discussions on party lights, you know, the ones we hang around our campers and canopies. I am searching for ones shaped like tear drops but to no avail. What kind of lights are tear drop campers using?  :ilovecamp:

Personally I like the Coleman Lantern type lights. Not the chessy larger brown ones... I'm talking the smaller Coleman green lanterns. Mind you there are a tad hard on the battery...

MJ, Lowes or Home depot have some solar lights that aren't worth much for home use, but work well for energy free camping. I use a couple of patio (sidewalk) lights around the camper that are solar powered. The price is coming down a lot over the past year.

I use several oil lamps for light when I don't use electricity. They give off enough light to get around.

One by each wheel and then some others near the front. I haven't tried a string of solar lights. I haven't looked for them yet.

Has anyone seen any solar string lights?

Walmart has rope lights that work well for lighting the canopy.
Then there is the Canopy with Lights

Somebody has supplied Dick's sporting goods with Colts helmets lights, so i think I am going to buy a package and contact the manufacturer and see if they will make tear drop shapes.

Kurt, I have thought of that myself...they make a lotta different versions of those and you are right, they would make great low level area lighting when out camping in dark places....

Went thru Big Lots the other day there were no less than 12 different shapes of strand lights . Butterflys , palm trees , flamingos , vari colored round balls. God fordid even snow flake shapes. Rural king had little red lanterns ( my favorite) deer , rifels , and a couple others I cant remember.
Google party lights an you can find darn near anything. Found a 59 nash rambler metropolitan with a tiny trailer that's close !!!
