You're talkin' my language.

I favor a few large fires over a lot of little fires, myself. You get a bunch of people around a fire, and you have a good time.

A rick of wood should be plenty for Friday night, Warpony, but what about Saturday.

Jeff, you'd love the fires we make on our annual man only fishing trips. We comb the beach and find anything that will burn, pallets, logs, stumps and put them in our bonfire. This year they had a teepee of logs that was 6ft tall. We figure that at the very least, we are cleaning up the beaches.

I'm basing this on last year's experience as it was a little chilly at night. Since we are camping only 2 spots down from Jeff (Warpony), I wasn't planning on bringing any firewood, figured with his fire that can be seen from the International Space Station, we'd be ok!

We'll be bringing about 6 or so of those bundles you can buy at the grocery stores or Wal-Marts.

I can hear the weather guy on Shreveport TV now...

"It's 45 degrees in downtown Shreeveport, 47 at the airport, 46 at Barksdale Air Force Base, and... Um...uhh... 93 degrees at Lake Bistineau State Park. How can that be???"

As far as Campfire locations and nights go:

Image

What are the suggestions again for getting together around a fireImageImage

Can anyone that is going to have a campfire list it here or a plan for where
the main campfire will be so we can post it for all to know the central spotImage

Would the party site #38 be a logical location for the main group campfiresImage

I take it (Warpony) Jeff is the master of the flame of the South Central gangImage

Where will You (Jeff) be having your small fireImage

Would the fire rings be Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at this one locationImage

Steve, last year, we didn't all gather at one place except to eat...several folks had fires going and there were small parites going on all over the campgorunds...we will certainly have a fire going at #38 for all to enjoy and invite everyone to comeon over and hang out.........
