On a semi-unrelated topic,

I got my best tank of gas pulling my teardrop home.

The little truck I am using needs a little bit of work. It had been getting 23 MPG with a cap being used for work.

Without the cap, but pulling the teardrop, I got just over 26 mpg. I think a big part of that is keeping it at a reasonable speed on the highway.
still no idea what i'm doing...

What a fun time! I am sure glad we had the shelter to gather in and enjoy all the good food and company. Tammy (packerz4) thanks for the hoodie it kept the chills away. We are a brave bunch to weather the cold and the wind but sharing food, fire and laughter with new and old friends is a great way to start the camping season :applause:

I sure wish we would hear from Duke.

I'll second that. Anybody know how to get hold of him off the site? We were talking about him yesterday wondering how he's doing.

We all had a great time that's for sure! Of course, Dayna and I both had to take a day off of work now since we're both sick :( But we'll survive!

I have his work email and emailed him about two weeks ago. He did respond then and I emailed him back, but I haven't heard anything since. I know he was still having some difficulties with his health. I hope everything is okay.

He was greatly missed at CNTL 2.

And I am going to say it again. Hats off on the location. That is a great park.

The kids slept very very well Sunday night when we got home.

Well I got my food and clothes in the house, the TD wiped down and parked so I started looking at my pictures. I realized that I didn't take that many! I liked this one. Just a bunch of friends playing well together in the sandbox.

Many thanks to all who braved the weather to attend CNTL 2. :snow I had a great time, renewing old friendships and making some new ones. As usual the food was awesome (it was nice having a warm place to sit and eat)
Special thank you's to Parnell and Barb for my treasured picture :pictures: , Tina and Jerry for their gift to me :P , Jim for the liquid refreshment, :tipsy: Lori for being our waitress and fire girl the whole weekend, :lady: and Nancy and Jack for the brats and breakfast. Also thanks to everyone who knows the story of my wifes health problem and the kind words of support. It means a whole lot to me.
All things considered, even though the weather wasn't the greatest, we'll all have good stories of this weekend to tell around the campfires when we are complaining about hot it is out!!!
Looking forward to the next one. Oh, thanks to Camp-Inn for making a wonderful, water tight, warm little camper for me to snuggle into at night.

Hey Retrofit, glad I wasn't the only one who got hit by coons.

I am suprised they didn't steal your caramel apple bake while you were still cooking it!

(My, that stuff was tasty!)
still no idea what i'm doing...

I had a coon over at my TD Sunday late. They ate the remaining Dark Chocolate from my fender table with out knocking the glass candy dish to the ground.
