Hi all,

Looks like a great time. Sorry I had to miss it. Hey if you guys hold a fall tear up,and don't mind a tent camper,I may join you guys. The canoeing videos brought back great memories of Fish Creek. Dennis & Darla, new boat or rental? Gotta be there next year! Thanks all, for your pictures.

Kate and I are already booked on a 'TearDown Fish Creek' Aug 25 thru Labour Day weekend.

The only weekend we could likely do for a trip down to the southern ADK land would be Sep 5-7 or Sep 26-28. Personally due to coming into our high season at work, and the distance for a short 2 night trip... we would have a problem with more than a 5 hour drive, which is the case for Nick's Lake which is where we have had the TearDown the last 2 years.

What do people think of Lewey Lake for Sep 5-7? Or another state park somewhere nearby?

Someone had the great idea for a Teardrop cookbook! Was it Leslie?

Anyways, Kate is asking people to email their favorite TearUp/camping recipes along with a photo if possible (I may have a few 'food' shots), along with a photo of their camper (I may have a few 'camper' shots). Once Kate has it together, Ray has volunteered to print and bind them.

Ray will keep keep track of cost and we'll set a price to cover the cost for the materials according to pre-order quantity (we'll deal with that later).

Lewey Lake is at the south end of Indian Lake on Route 30, just north of Speculator, east of Old Forge and west of North Creek.

Looking at a few photos, it looks pretty nice. Lots of water sites too by the looks of it. Likely Rick or Steve can chime in as I think they have been there before, themselves. Surely Al and Leslie have too with all the camping they do LOL.

Comments?

Edit: I found a post from Tom and Mary on another forum. Tom how did you like Lewey Lake?

I noticed that mountain Steve. Someone posted some photos and they have one of their group on the top of Snowy Mtn with an awesome view of Indian Lake below. Would be a good time of the year for a hike.
