Del's canned ham build

Postby del » Sun Jun 08, 2008 10:51 pm

First some back ground and the trailer I am starting with. This is kinda what I want, but with one of Doug's trolley tops, on the back, looking more like a cockpit on an airplane.

I'd say the demolition was already started a long time ago :)

Yesterday started like most, but then as I walked from one field to another I was given a fly by withe something brushing my hair as it flew by. now I am watching this #@$% bird and its mate flys by and hits me in the head (good thing where theres no sense there is no feeling). These two birds are big and camera shy, here is the best pic I came up with.

The delicate art of roof skin removal.

I have got most of the interior pieces I want so now begins taking off the aluminum skin, then knock over the dry rotted wood frame work, with the forklift.

I think I would rather be hit in the head by a bird than by the bird's calling card!

I got most of the aluminum skin off yesterday.

In the next couple of times going there (where the trailer is) I should have a bare frame, to see what mods I need to do to it.

My "friends" the birds were giving flight lessons to their young so they left me alone, soon they will move on. :applause:

This will be a fun build to follow Del! Looking forward to seeing your progress. It's interesting to see how the water has seeped into the whole thing when you have taken it apart. Doug

Hey no problem...I got the idea from Craig's nephew and some of the older trailers in the Atlas Trailer site. I think it's a really different/unique design idea, I'd like to see a lot more people do one. Doug

I googled Atlas trailer and found a nifty trailer you could hall around an atlas missile, you wouldn't have the link, would you.
