I've climbed Snowy Mtn. before. Nice hike, but definately not an easy one. I don't know if it is still there, but there used to be a fire tower and a log heli-pad up top.

Just checking in... Pat and I got home about 3pm today.

2,740 teardrop miles in 2 weeks, and I think we could have spent the whole time at FCP. What an awesome place!

It was great to meet everyone and we're looking forward to next year!

Good to meet you too, Kurt. Hopefully we can make some of the Indiana gatherings in the future. That's not very far for us, and Pat has a brother just south of Terra Haute we can visit on the way.

We arrived home yesterday afternoon. 18 nights in the tear; 5298 miles total. Our trip finished with camping with the south central group at Petit Jean State Park in Arkanasas over the weekend. We had a terrific time with all of you, and hope to return next year.
Jasper sends his regards... :D

Was over at Fish Creek biking 2 days ago... had to make sure everyone finally left

Your sites are now filled with big RV's and such.

Noticed a white with red trim Little Guy on one site (pulled by an Accura??), but the owner wasn't around... too bad they missed the TearUp.

Back there for 10 days on July 4th.. can't wait!

Hi Mary and Bob!

The TearUp 2009 dates are June 11-14, 2009.

I'm a bit behind on TearUping and TearDowning since we have been so busy Camping lately LOL.

I haven't received much feedback on the TearDown.. so I'm tenatively looking at Lewey Lake Sep 4-6th. How is this
for everyone? Inquiring minds wanna know!

PS. Fish Creek was awesome over the July 4th week!

Here is a shot from our site, 251...

Kate checking out my new 'dream boat' at the Runabout Rendezvous on Lake Flower (Saranac Lake)... anybody got $125K?

Some fun campers who did a light show and walkabout each night...

Cheers!

Bob and I have also not been home weekends because were loving using our teardrop this summer, going this weekend to ross hill in conn. sure gets alot of attention. I'm pretty sure the 2009 tearup is the same as new englands but we LOVE fishcreek and are committed to there, sounds great, let me know when to sign up, usually 9 months ahead. not sure where lewy lake is but we could make it fri after i get out of work, school starts that week, so fri, sat and sun is sept 5,6,7 right? if its agreeable to everyone sned us the site to reserve if needed, wait and see what response you get, GREAT pictures of fishcreek and GREAT looking wood boat for sure

Why are we changing it from Nicks Lake, where we've had it for the last three years?

Has it been 3 years? Maybe we missed a year? Kate and I have been twice (that we know of  )

Why a different spot? Variety? To continue the tradition of lake side TearUpnDown camping? I made that suggestion after people were discussing different options and doing a bit of research.

I should have gathered up an email address for every camper. Would be nice to have each camper submit their top 3 preferences for state parks in the south ADK, and then select the most popular of the bunch.

We are flexible, if the majority want to do Nike's again, that is fine too.

Comments fellow campers? Vote now!

We can't make it this year, but if we were coming, I would vote for the closest to PA!
