How many trailers to you own?

Postby beverlyt » Sun May 29, 2005 3:08 am

Just curious, since we have three!

1. 4' x 8' teardrop. Perfect for towing with my small vehicle.

2. 1963 Shasta 13' (includes tongue), for a little more room if camping long-term on our property and cold weather camping.

3. 1950 something canned ham (in the family for years)

What do you have?

I just have the one teardrop, as far as for recreational use goes.

However, if you're counting on work trailers, I have one trailer to carry my mowers, another to carry leaves in the fall and a 15ft tilt trailer with 8000# axles to carry anything from a racecar to a backhoe. I built all of these trailers myself. In addition to the teardrop, I'm also going to start building my boat trailer to carry the boat that I'm building. I'll be starting on the boat trailer Tuesday because the boat hull is ready to be turned right side up. I was thinking that I could go ahead and build the trailer now instead of trying to come up with some kind of frame to support the boat while I built the deck. If I had the trailer, I could move the boat project around if needed.

Future plans call for more teardrops for my family and I want to build a hamcan style larger RV trailer.
I am NOT a complete idiot! Some of the pieces are missing.

We have two:

1. We have an Aliner - 12 ft plus tongue and rear bumper

2. 4x8 TD -- Almost finished :D - I can see the end now.

If you include utility trailers we have two more for a total of 4 trailers.

I'm not sure if ours counts as a teardrop so I chose other. Hopefully in 3 weeks it will be ready for the trip to Minden.

I counted my TD even though it is not finished

We also have a 35" 5th wheel, and a 10' pick up camper (yes, I know, it's not a trailer).

Non camping trailers include a boat trailer, 33' enclosed car trailer, a 18' car trailer, 12' car trailer, 8' utility trailer, and a old pop-up that I am converting to a kayak trailer.

1 woody tear ( to attend Minden)
2 scratchbuilt mohogany boats on trailers
1 home depot utility trailer
1 1992 Coleman tent trailer
DMV loves me on this stuff, and since I moved here and did it all at once it's always due on the same month, not to mention a truck and a car.

7' x 16' Wells Cargo
4' x 6' Utility trailer
4' x 6' Pony Cart trailer
3' x 4' Utility trailer
4' x 8' Folding Harbor Freight trailer
and a very soon to be :worship: teardrop trailer

My late wife said I had more ladders and trailers than anyone she'd ever known. :rofl2:
