How do I view a CadStd Lite drawing . . .

Postby yeto » Sat Sep 06, 2008 2:10 am

using different software other than CadStd Lite?

The software will only let me "save as" a .cad file.

I can only export in .dxf or .hpgl type.

I would like to be able to save the file in a different format so that I can place the drawing in Microsoft Word.

Thanks,
Yeto

If all else fails, you can do a "screen capture" and paste it into a graphics program to edit or directly into Word.

Just hit your "Print Scrn" button and then open Word (or some other program to edit it) and hit "Ctrl" and the "V" key.

Since you can export dxf, that's all you need. Any good cad package will let you view dxf files.

As for pasting in Word, your best bet is a screen capture, like Kerry said.

Download a flie from ExpSystems called PDFredirect. It is a PDF printer that will save files in vectored PDF.

Also, for inclusion in Word, just go to Edit, and at the bottom, you can copy the file to the clipboard for paint programs, or vectored for word processors.
