Nice pictures Finn, and Jeremy! Thanks for posting it. I started researching how old is old for Coleman lanterns just to familiarize myself of what makes a collectors item. After looking at those pictures, it make me think twice of even seeking a collectors item. One leds to two, then three, then it's the model you don't have, or the one that rarely comes up, the one you said you would quit if you ever acquired it.

It would be a good "show your lanterns" event at the next IRG to see how many will glow all at once. I will surely have my camera out!

Oh Mr. Hodder... Looks like the next nearest Coleman convention will be in Seattle, WA 2010.

Oooooooo, yeah ... let's Light Up the Grove in 2010! I'll be there! (That gives me 20 months to restore and get my lanterns and get them burning ... ... wonder if I'll make it?)

I think that would be a fun idea Grant...."Light up the grove"...sounds good, so you don't think you'll get them running by the Dam huh? And Cliff....I noticed the date for the convention also.... Doug

I was being my typical late-night smart-a$$ed self, Doug ... but it was tempered with a healthy dose of reality! I mean, look at how slow the progress is on the two trailers I'm building and/or my teardrop plans package, then consider the progress (or lack thereof) on my other interests like my VW trike and my model railroad layout ... and then you guys come along and add another distraction ... ...! The spirit is willing, but time & ability are in short supply 'round here ... ...

But, hey ... why wait for IRG3.0 to display our new passion, right? Why not make it a regular feature at all Gatherings to pick a night and a dark campsite and light 'em up ... ...? We could just hold off 'til the IRG (or other major regional campout) to bring out the whole collection ... ...

Great, more stuff to haul to teardrop gatherings.....I guess I will have to stop buying lanterns so I don't have to haul them...

If each teardrop had 1 lantern, that would be quite the display at some of the bigger gatherings.

Some where I have a link to some pictures of a Coleman Club light-up. I will try to find it an post it.
