In march, I was diagnosed, with breast cancer. For the last ten months, I've gone through two lumpectomies, chemo. and radiation. I lost, my hair, and pretty much the whole year, but not my life. In the spring, I plan, on a lot of camping, and kayaking!!!!! Get your mammograms girls!

Congrats on getting through that brutal regimen and thank you for sharing your great resolve and zest for life.

Where do you plan on camping and kayaking? Any new destinations?

Newbie, former lurker here.

Nice kayak and dog, Jan. I have an Ocean Kayak Scrambler at my house, and a Hobie Maui at my place at the confluence of the White River and the Buffalo National river.

Congrats on being a survivor! I am a 3 time survivor myself, but have only had to give up a few parts and pieces overall. I did have one round of radiation when my thyroid cancer recurred, though.

I am looking forward to getting a teardrop and heading out to fish, kayak, hike, and whatever!

Thank you, for your well wishes! This weekend, is going to be nice and warm, so I was thinking of taking, my tear to the beach. I like to go to, Bodega Dunes, a nice little campground, with some views of the bay. At night, I can hear the foghorns, and the barking of the seals. Ok, I talked myself into it.

If you fly fish now, or have even thought about it, check them out and see if they are in your area. They are a great group and have lots of fun.

Well, I took my teardrop, and Wolfie, to the beach. Best time, I've ever had, camping. The weather
was beautiful, a full moon, high tide, and the
campground, was quite. I got the best sight!! Saturday, I went to Spud's,
the best place, for clam chowder, in Bodega Bay. It's a joy, to taste food, again.

There you go, girl...getting back to living life is the only way to play this game!

And ladies, while you're screening on top, don't forget to get the other preventative screenings we all need--they become even more important if you have a history of breast cancer in yourself or elsewhere in your family. BC increases your risk of other women's organ cancers, as well as the risk of colorectal cancer.

Now..if they could just invent ONE test that worked for everything and didn't involve a two-day prep... :applause:
