I'd love to, but I can't. Sorry. It's 50 miles one way and mostly Interstate. The police frown on bicyclists on the freeways here in Minnesota.

I wish I could too, especially since I just picked up my new Crosstrail. Unfortunately there are no trails between my house and work, which also happens to be about 40 miles away. And like Tim's commute, mine is mostly highways as well!

Well, even if I had my bike fixed up and in shape for it, I'm like the others. My job is 20 miles one way AND we're supposed to get another downpour and storms over the next few days...

I could take back roads all the way but it would be a long trip!

Actually, if I lived close to work I'd ride the bike quite often, there's about three people over there that ride most days.
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

I would join in on this but its only 30 ft. from my back door to the garage. Its fun being retiered.
The impossable just takes longer & cost more.

It'll be hard to haul hundreds og pounds of equipment on my bike. I work only a couple of days so I'll have to just ride twice as much on my days off.

I was going to bike to work this week...40 miles each way. Bike over Sunday afternoon, camp at the airport, bike home Saturday morning.

But I broke a spoke last Saturday, so no go.

Maybe for one of my trips next week...

HA ha

I live like 2 miles from work and I bike every day that it's not raining hard. I've been doing that for over a year. It's actually not far enough as I don't really get too much exercise so after I get home I swap bikes (mountain for road) and head out for 1-1.5 hours twice a week and 3 hours or so on Friday night or Sat.

That's the one thing I will miss when I get back to the States!
