French Military Stove

Postby rebapuck » Mon May 18, 2009 1:50 pm

I had a small collection of small camp stoves up until last October. Decided I didn't want them. I only kept this French Military Stove because I just love it. Measures 9 1/2w X 5 1/2 d X 5h. Aluminum case. I think I was told it was from 1942.

Reminds me of an old joke...

It's in unused shape. I bought it years ago from a Major Army Surplus catalog. Think they have a website now.

Never been fired and only been dropped once? Just kidding. That's a pretty cool stove. How can you not use it? My wifes doesn't understand why I'll bring my stoves up to the kitchen and make coffee when there's a prefectly good stove right there. I just enjoy playing with them.

The instructions are in French so I'm not 100% sure of how to fire it. I'm sure it's just like the old Colemans, but I've never done one of those either. I' ve only ever used a propane stove.
But it is cool and I take it with me to show off.
