It has a torsion axle with brakes.

The canvas is dry rotted, and the neighbor wants the top back, for a sand box. The sink and stove are gone, as are the cushions.

NOW WHAT!!

I would have to agree.....it's like that old saying, "When the world gives you lemons, make lemonade"....well, here, it's "When the world gives you old popup tent trailers, make teardrops!"

You know, I was just thinking to myself, "del needs a new project."

You just don't have anything to work on, right now, so I'd say this pop-up came along at just the right time. If you were building a canned ham, or trying to restore a few trucks, I would be concerned that you are taking on too many projects. But, since you have nothing else to work on, this new trailer is the perfect addition to your garage/patio/yard.

BTW, nice tree.

without the top, innards or tent...you got a frame, wheels, and suspension -- all you need now is a tear to go on top of it! 8)

I went out and measured. The body is like 6' 4" wide and 11' long. To build a teardrop with fenders and no wheel wells the frame rails are 4' 5" wide. As it stands I can use the axle, but it will be several years before I could use the frame. And with no room to store it...

Offer it for free on the site here and see if someone can use it. It don’t hurt to pass along a good fortune that comes your way ;)

I have found every twenty years is enough to erect one of these, to reassure me why I do not want one of these.
