How big before it's not a TTT?

Postby robertaw » Sun Aug 16, 2009 1:32 am

Hi Ladies!
I"m Roberta, I'm 45, mother of 5 (ages 16-27), grandmother of 2 perfect grandsons.

I've lived in FL for a couple of years now and before that half my life in WV and half in DC area.

I don't have any friends down here at all or any friends anywhere that share my lifelong passion for camping. So I was hoping I could hang out with you girls even though my trailer is far from a teardrop and would be a stretch to call tiny.

It is, however, vintage and small by today's standards. It's also in many pieces because I got a lttle carried away with the rennovations. :hammer:

Hi Roberta. Welcome, I'm glad you found us. It's not about the type or size of camper (or tent) you have. It is all about making friends and having fun in the great outdoors.

Thanks for the welcomes. I hope to be able to attend some get togethers once my camper is usable. Well, actually it WAS usable before I started tearing it apart. :?

I've met Becca who also lives in Florida on this forum from the thread where she got her Scotty but I wanted to meet some of the other ladies too.

I have a blog with lots of pictures

My poor trailer looks a bit emotionally disturbed right now but I hope to have her looking pretty by spring. :)

Welcome Roberta.

Before I retired last December, I worked Saturdays so camping with friends was very sporatic. I had to plan 8 months in advance so I could sign up for annual leave. Not too spontaneous.

I camped for 20 years in my '66 VW. Then in 2006, I purchased a 9ft, 770lb Eriba Puck to tow. Totally a splurge for a solo camper, but I love it. Now I have a two room suite. And both are a piece of cake to set up.

Thanks for the welcome!

Eriba Pucks are cute, cute, cute! I have seen a couple of them online (none in person). I think it's awesome that you splurged on something you would really enjoy.

Welcome Roberta. It is nice to have such a great group of ladies that love to camp. You will meet and make great friends here. You may never meet most of them but will call them friends
