Bob, trying to successfully emulate the crusty personality of a bigoted, short-tempered inanimate object like Walter has always been a lifelong dream of mine. :fb :grouch day1: I can only imagine how that will improve my chances of finding the next Mrs. Nordstrom. :miriams:
I’ve seen the video. It is a hoot…on a stick. <g>. If and when I get to the point of acting that eternally constipated :poop: , get ready to short sell Wal-Mart’s stock since, as you said above, I will use Walter’s line of "Welcome to Wal-Mart, get your s**t and git!"

Bob,
No offense intended.
What I meant was that by having a well-known stud like you sharing the limelight of this thread, I don't stand a chance of any lady tearjerkers setting me up with their girlfriends who enjoy camping.

Well Karl ... it seems you have a few possibles here. 8)

You should plan a few trips and let us all watch as this progresses to whatever...

If I was a millionaire and could do anything I wanted I would still choose camping! The only difference would be I would be all over the continent doing it EVERYDAY! :ilovecamp:

This is a great place to find women who feel the same. Good luck to you and keep us updated please.

FINDING LOVE IN THE MIDST OF TEARDROPS

Roberta, Thank you for your nice note. I appreciate the encouragement.
:lightbulb: It sounds like I should fire up the video camera and start my own reality TV show about FINDING LOVE IN THE MIDST OF TEARDROPS. Hey, I like that title. :thumbs up1:
Hmmm...I wonder if Little Guy will be one of the sponsors since I'd be showcasing their 6-Wide model??? $>
... and maybe FOX could pick up the show and put it on prime time ... Gosh, my teenage kids would never forgive me for totally embarrassing them! Cool!

Of course, being the shy guy that I am at heart, I could really use some encouragement to get me started on my quest (i.e., specific invitations to go camping). :vroom: :worship: 8) :eyebrows:

FYI: I will be at Summit Lake October 8-11 for the Hoosier Fall Gathering http://tearjerkers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1924 and then back down to Indiana whenever the annual Winter Shiveree takes place. There was a little talk amongst we Great Lakes Chapter members about possibly going to Saugatuck along beautiful Lake Michigan some time this fall but I haven't heard whether anyone else in the chapter is still interested.

I have to admit that when I first read the topic of this thread, I thought, "Oh, No....!" But, it's a pretty entertaining thread! ...Turned out pretty cute. :applause:

For people your age (Karl's) and younger, it may be possible to find someone. But, my belief is that for many people, "happily ever after" is just the ending in a fiction book/fairytale. Sooner or later, reality will turn around and bite most of us.

On the positive side, I once lived near a divorced neighbor lady whose friends and family kept after her to "get back out there and find someone." She told them all, "If God wants me to find someone, he'll have him knock on my door." Well, 'THE ONE' knocked on her door one day...literally. Now, at least I know one person who seemed to find "happily ever after" without even looking!

 I met Mike over the phone. Weird story! Happy ever after is a commitment not a fairy tale. You start with a set of basics and work on it. ;)

Karl,

We don't mind you guys hanging out on the ladies forum at all. It can be quite entertaining actually.

My sister is single (divorced) but she lives in Louisiana - a bit of a drive for you. She's pretty cool...loves camping, fishing, outdoors and such. But she lives in Louisiana.

I hope you find a gal-pal. It's fun to have someone who shares your enjoyment. I take my friends or sons camping with me -- hubby just isn't into it anymore.

Keep us posted on your journey.

Haha ... and "on e steeck" (on a stick!)

My opening line is more like " if you're looking for a Barbie doll, I'm not her. I'm not skinny , fake and plastic. If you want a trophy wife, I'm more like 2nd runner up... "

I thought I'd found a real catch when I finally got thru to someone on a personals site... even better when he updated his pictures and on of his lines was "I freakin LOVE camping!" and there was a picture of him standing out tending the fire with his little fiberglass Compact Jr camper!!!

We finally met for a dinner, seemed to really hit it off! He went camping with me to Missouri in the very very early spring, but didn't complain , shared the gas and drive money, had a great time with the teardroppers .... but then pfffttt... nothing happened... that was over a year ago...

... what evah! ....
