I will be visiting the "outlaws" for the Thanksgiving holiday ... I will get back to sending out requests as soon as I return.

It appears that I've finally muddled my way through all of the spam filters and mis-typed e-mail addresses (how many times did I try that?) and who knows what else... :? I believe that everyone who has asked (to date) has received.

If not (apologies) ... Please re-send your request.

Thanks. Looking forward to pics of tables :D

Weve purchased Marine Grade "Finnish" Ply already - Some real nice quality. Took the drawings over to our friends who have a CNC machine :D :D And in hopes we,ll have all the pieces back after the Holidays.

I,ll post photos of it all asap.

Thank You again for the great plans.

The wife likes the seats on the one you made better (photo below) though but its also the weight we have to take into consideration. ;)

Rob,

I need an e-mail address because private messages can't have attachments.

I did send you a PM (didn't know which communication would reach you first).

Thanks

Many years ago we got the plans for the picnic table and benches. We made ours and have really enjoyed it. We also made several others as gifts. We have used the table at swap meets also and it worked out great.
It was fairly easy to haul, since it all was flat when unassembled.

Betty,

Do you have a copy of the plans you built? I like Corwin's table plans, but a bit more elaborate for my needs. Great job Corwin, by the way! I hope to build one of those some day. I found a simple plan that I posted for download from the boy scouts. There are couple variations of the same style that I will have to upload later.

Cliff, I will check with my husband and see if he still has them. We got them out of a Better Homes and Gardens magazine a long time ago. I will check and get back to you.

Thanks for the compliment cuyeda ...

Another version of that table can be found here with printable plans and instructions.

I have built several of those tables and they are excellent for pre-teens, however, it's just too small for ample adults like myself. ;) The seats are too low, too close to the table top, and it is very difficult for me to get my big clumsy feet across the leg to sit at that table.

The reasoning behind the large table pic is for comfort, conversation, and easy in/out without bothering the person(s) sitting next to you, however, it is WAAAYYY to large to haul around in a teardrop (I do haul several to family gatherings in my 17' Aristocrat though.)

The TearTable is a minimal version of the large table while retaining most of the "comfort" and increasing the portability substantially. It will stack flat (under a mattress) and should fit through most if not all teardrop doors.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to create a prototype myself (my "workshop" has snow drifts in it), and I'm relying on the people on this forum that I have sent plans to build one and share their experience, likes, dislikes, etc. and will eventually get bug-free copies of these plans in a more permanent location for everyone to use.

Corwin,
Thanks for the link, and yes that was the other variation of the smaller table. I have'nt built it yet, but I thought if it was not a good fit, I could give it to the neighbors kids. I have a list a small wood projects that I would like to try.
