Folding bikes

Bicycles for campers, rvers, or just riding around where ever you are

With a truck, I could easily get a mountain bike, but am considering a used Dahon. There were a half dozen for sale on Craiglist here last summer all at the same time.

Also, I want to see about injecting the tires to make them flat free. I know tires come pre-made like that for bikes, but I'm not sure about the size for a folding bike.

I've gone to flat free tires on my wheelbarrrows and handtrucks.

Figured it would be worth it for a bicycle too.

My use would mainly be Howland Hill Rd in Jedediah Smith redwoods: the old wagon dirt gravel road. And the paved parkway in Prairie Creek redwoods, and the paved Bald Hills Rd. above Redwood National Park. Avenue of the Giants too.

No one mentioned the sub 200 $ ( single speed w/ coaster brake. ) dahon boardwalk from one of the largest mailorder co. that now has *some* "big box" stores. ( performance )

We recently bought two Downtube Novas. They are built on an aluminum Dahon frame and the quality seems excellent. 24 lbs. I was worried they would seem like a toy or circus bike, but they are great to ride.

Here is the website, but he also sells them on eBay and we got a much better deal by buying them there.
