Decor has nothing to do with function, and I'm the last one to worry much about looks or any wow factor.
However, since my wife likes to quilt and make "stuff," why not?

gonefishin,

Ah, but that's the refinement of the building of something: function and art (fine decor) fused together. I think it's also what makes a house a home. (Otherwise, we'd all feel at home in an army barracks.)

I'll bet that beautiful quilt is also warm. The designs on the fabrics puts me in the mood to go camping and fishing. Compliments to the Mrs.

Good lookin' stitching  Generally I found that if the wife contributes to the interior design of the project, she'll generally want to sleep in there with ya' ;)

Hanging "Cupboard". Light weight. Easy on/off. Zipper closure. Secure against wall. Don't have to build it!
30 inch high, 22 inch wide, 10 inch deep shelves. Plus side pockets!

From: Creek Company (Cabela's sells them too). A little pricey at $59, but hey, it was an impulse thing to reach a minimum for a $40 discount, and I'm not returning it! I'll probably get another one with my next order. It was just too easy and simple. :o

*There's less-expensive, similar alternatives I've seen too, such as Ikea stores, etc.[/img]

 That works! (...but ya might wanna anchor it from the bottom so it doesn't swing in transit.)

I put a hanging shelf/organizer on the closet rod in my trailer's closet. These things work well for our purposes. :)

You Guys Rock!!!

Postby Rail73 » Sun Jan 31, 2010 9:28 pm

Hello All!

New guy here - discovered this forum only yesterday. Have been considering A-Liner and other lightweight camping trailers for a couple years, but cost was too high (especially considering that they are already built to someone else's idea of the right design) and need to be able to use the beast for other cargo projects, too. Great to see how many unique ideas folks have had on putting together unique solutions. :applause:

I will be lurking for a few more weeks - but once I get my act together I will share photos and progress reports!

Bear Theme

Postby Rail73 » Sun Jan 31, 2010 9:39 pm

Gonefishin,

Echo everyone's comments to the Mrs. on the quilt - I love the curtains, too.

Are there more bear themes in the future?

Yes, one more bear theme. The throw-rugs I'm going to put down.
