Mike had a problem with a hitch being to heavy for his Jetta.

The trailer that has it is to big for T&TTT site the the Ideas are interesting. Made in the USA.

Hey Ron,

That no hitch load thing looks pretty good. It could solve a lot of problems. It doesn't look like they are quite ready to sell it yet though. But it opens the mind up to other possibilities!

The Ricardo's had a no load hitch on the front of that trailer.

The movie shows it in great detail.

There is also one in the movie Beach Party or is it Beach Blanket Bingo? with Frankie and Anette. They are towing a canned ham type Spartan (for the girls only) to the beach with a military deuce and a 1/2. Fun to spot stuff like that in old movies. Doug

As far as I know, the "helper" wheels taking the hitch
weight load were (are?) called a "dolly" wheel or "dollies". I
remember that a co. named Watson made/sold them
in the 1970s and there were several other makers
over the years, especially in the 1950s when travel trailers
started to grow in size and weight. I recall reading somewhere
that there were problems with tire wear and reliability and
maneuvering/backing up at times depending on the design
and, I'm sure, the maintenance they received.

It'd be interesting to see how the "single wheel" trailer caster type
sprung wheel could be adapted into a similar use on a small
relatively light weight TD a/o TTT to help the smaller tow vehicles
out. I should think that trailer brakes would be required for such
a set up also.

it was made up to or around 2002. The plans were sold to a man who was going to start building them in Southern California but it never came to be. some where there are plans and templates for this trailer.


Mr. Perch had one last tryst with RVs, setting up shop at a Gilroy factory and developing the Fold-N-Roll trailer before health concerns forced him to quit in 2002.

someone bought one and asked for help with the roof but i just study it I do not have one. I have been around to and if I had had the cash there was one for sale in northern CA 2 yrs ago.
