Frame Cad Drawing?

Postby Micro469 » Sat Jan 14, 2006 6:35 pm

A company will build me a frame for a teardrop but he wants a drawing of what I want. I can't draw a straight line to save my soul, so I was wondering if anyone has a cad drawing for a frame. I'm looking for a 57"x96" box, A frame tongue, spacers (crossbars) locted in such a way that I can put a dropped box for table, and tabs welded along the inside edge to bolt down floor and attach levellers on the back. I want the axle mounts to be movable (bolted on) so that I can relcate it if neccessary. I don't have a cad program, but if anybody can helpme out it would be much appreciated. :worship: :worship: :worship:

Get some graph paper an draw what you want. One bit of advice, use your resources first. Co-workers, friends, neighbors etc. Ask some you know who welds. Hopefully one will say '' Gee thats cool be glad to help'' You save a lot of $$$ that way. I had the steel gave to me and bought the rest on a deal. I'm buyin my buddy a spool of wire, all he can eat and use of if he wants. I'll have less than $300 in a 5x10 thats with new tires. Good luck!!

Micro,

Could you start with this and handwrite in the dimensions you want?

All the frame drawings are in this thread...

Mike,
What size tubing did you use? I found the wall thickness but couldn't find the tubing size.
Thanks,

You're right, we communicated that verbally... It's 2" x 2" tubing...
