I'd weld on the chains and double check the lenght. That way the chains are there forever.

grade 8, welded 3/16/ steel tubing,3500 axel hummmm 800lb trl? :thinking: ought to be just barley enough.whuddya think ;)

Now, I've become grade conscious when it comes to bolts. I needed a couple of bolts to lock down my drill press vise, so got a couple of 5/8" bolts from the leftovers from mounting my draw hitch last year. I saw that they are grade 5. My bolts that came with my HF jack stand are grade 2. Now, I may even know what I'm talking about...you think?
