this is a sulky
I guess I'm wondering what peoples opinions are on them as I'd like to build on but would like to add my own twist to it and was wondering if anyone here has seen or used one
here is a video of a high end one in action

Looks like fun. I wonder if I could get Beagles to run four in hand :)

I just need to find axle parts either from a wheelchair frame or a trike bicycle cause I'd like to have an independent suspension for the rougher terrain

I think my friend Daphne Lewis was in on the development of that. Do a search for "Chalo sulky" for more intel. She was one of the primary innovators of the whole dog scooter 'movement', which has enabled quite a lot of regular folks in suburban/urban areas to participate in dog mushing.

I've been thinking about picking up a heavy duty garden wagon and putting shafts on it so my hounds could help w/ chores on our property. I'd consider it very minor payback for them trenching up my back yard!
~ intel gathering until we get more $. If anyone's got a line on a winning lotto ticket or a tooth fairy I can shake down for cash, PM me.

I'd really like to find a good place that sells the parts to those sit down style bicycles (not sure of the name) cause if can get just a seat and axle that would be fine

Don't you sit down on all bicycles..   ;)

Recumbent is the word you are looking for.

I am not sure if the seats on most recumbents are that separable from their bikes..
