Gaco turns into a 100 % silicone rubber membrane. We have it on our roof at work. Its the only paint type product that I know of that will stick to almost anything and put up with ponding water. It costs about $65 a gal.

In goes the luan 1/8 plywood skin. This was very easy. I was worried about this part, but it went real good. As you can see I used wide head finish screws to hold it in while the glue dries. I will prob. leave them in.

I got the trailer registered today. In California my experience was to bring the receipt (from harbor freight), the certificate of origin and $20. They did not want to see the trailer, they hand over your plate and your done.
I know in some states they do want to see the trailer so dont build anything on it until it is reg.
Sorry you're having such a hard time selling your wife --- I had to pay through the nose to get rid of mine years ago . Had no idea people would pay for one.
