Great, I find a lot of people are intimidated by craigslist. Especially the part about buying something from a stranger. I have had nothing but good experiences. Glad you found your trailer there! Now you want to build something from scratch? Oh boy, there goes all your free time!

Got a little inspiration on what to do with the door. Took the glass door down, got some masking tape and white spray paint...

Looks like a door!
Also gave me a place to mount the license plate, one of those problems I hadn't figured out yet.

A good friend of mine professionally refinishes bathtubs, and has a long history of fiberglass repair on boats... He saw my sanded down fiberglass top and offered to paint it with the fancy bathtub epoxy paint for super cheap. Since it was completely sanded down to the gelcoat, but not polished it was the perfect prep job for him. It's shiny now, it looked good in pictures before but I was worried about keeping it clean since the whole thing didn't have a smooth finish and dirt clung to the scratches and pores like crazy. Also, the gelcoat was a very light light gray and now the bottom and top are actually white.
He also filled a bunch of minor nicks with bondo and did a fiberglass repair on the third brake light. It's good to know people!
So close! I may wrap things up this weekend!

Just temporarily while I towed it to where it was painted. I'm changing the window a bit and there is blue masking tape in the way that I'm not ready to pull off yet.

My neighbor had her bathtubs glazed 5 years ago. It's holding up well.

Did 4 of the cushions last night, hopefully I'll get the 3 middle cushions done tonight. Starting to look like a cozy trailer! I think the cushions have gotten a bigger reaction from my wife than any other part of this project.
(Don't mind the white caulking, it will dry clear, it does look pretty silly at the moment though.)
