You gotta have good gloves with that tape, its rock hard. When you wrap it you only overlap an 1/8 in. its a pain, in more than one way.

I have an old Cannondale that needs that magic gear set up. I was going to say I probably should have tried that before buying my Trek fixie.. but rethinking about it.. The Trek was a close out.. and was still less expensive than fixing up the Dale.

Thanks, its o,k... I used a ss "kit" so it looks wierd from the back,( read : cass spacers ) but it could be fixed / free with the right wheel/hub... I need to swap all my ultegra parts from my old steel road bike and put them on this ( gt ) frame. That way i'll have a cf road and a ( super hip ) steel ss... instead of the wierd cf ss and hot-rod-ed steel road.

I forgot to post the parts donner bike : ( from which I was given the frame, as payment ... and all the parts are going on the next b/a )

nice. :D

I am not sure what I will do with the Cannondale. The wheels are for sew ups.. and I don't really want to run those. Also the rear hub is an early Shimano freehub. It is from the first Dura ace index group.. the non hyperglide group that existed for about 6 months. I don't really need another fixie or single speed right now anyways.. so I guess it will just sit for now.

:D, Those are nice bikes. I don't think I've seen a Ritchie here in Oz but we do have plenty of Cannondales here.
