Sunset Magazine May 2012 photo TD

Postby cuyeda » Mon Apr 23, 2012 12:36 pm

Just picked up this issue of the Sunset Magazine, May 2012 that features a photo of teardrop on the cover. There are no specific details about teardrops other than a link to a business that rents teardrops. The article "Camping in Style" umbrellas a variety of topics. It was nice to see a teadrop on the cover, and one more photo within the articles.

Just got my copy of Sunset also. What a thrill to see Joe and Leslie Kosareff's gorgeous teardrop on the cover of the magazine while standing in line at the grocery store. Way to go Vacations in a Can! Will you autograph my magazine at the Dam Gathering? :D

Hey, was that the one you named at the Dam last year, Caren? Can 'em Dano? Way to go, Leslie and Joe, who are active teardroppers in California. They do us proud! Looking forward to camping again with our famous teardrop celebrities. Oh, wait it is their trailer that is a celebrity, not them, oh well, we like them anyway. Hope the trailer doesn't get a big head from all the publicity and expect special treatment, like not driving on dirt roads or someone to shoo away the bears. Nope, little tear, you have to rough it like the rest of us! Love seeing it highlighted so well on the cover of a great magazine!

Yep...as I went through the checkstand with my copy, the young man said " I wish I was the guy who owned that!" His mouth dropped when I replied "We built one!" I proceeded to give him forum info. Very cool!

That teardrop is very photogenic. I love the 'almost circle' door on it.
Congratulations to some of our own ...well deserved.

I got my Sunset today too!! That is a cute trailer!! The galley looks pretty good...lots of storage!

So are the owners on this forum?? Are they going to the Dam? I'd like to see their trailer..and learn more on how people can rent tears before they buy..to see if they like the compact lifestyle.

Joe and Leslie are the BEST! Check out their website. Hopefully they will be at the Dam Gathering unless they rented out all their trailers which would be good for business but leave them with nada to camp in.

They were there last year, even had a contest to name their most recent build. Caren won! Hopefully they will be there. If not, I see they are registered for IRG.

I hope they bring some of those t-shirts to a gathering...I like 'em!!

I need to explore the site some more. What a great idea...renting out teardrops! And what an ideal location!!

Joe & Leslie are wonderfully terrific people, and their trailers are solid quality!
I'm wondering if those pics are from a special shoot, or if they're from a previous shoot when a Sunset writer "rented" one of their trailers and wrote about their experience (that article was in Sunset last year sometime, as I recall). I guess we'll find out next week, if they've got a trailer to bring to the Dam Gathering!

A big  for Joe & Leslie and Vacations in a Can!

I got my copy today from a friend who knew I was building one. What a cool cover, a sharp teardrop and I can't wait to go on my first camping trip. 8)

Just heard back from Leslie and Joe *(I sent an email to their business). They are coming to the Dam! :worship: If you want a tee shirt you might want to e-mail them. It is on their website, vacations in a can.

Everyone I know, who knows I have a teardrop, sent/brought/gave me a copy of this month's Sunset

Even the receptionist at my dentist's office had a copy for me today.

It's nice getting some recognition, mostly when I say "I have a teardrop trailer" I get blank stares.

What great advertizing for their business. Their teardrop photographs beautifully.

They are two of the nicest people and Joe makes great teardrops.

I look forward to seeing them at IRG!
